Although there are many possible explanations for the pay gap, one explanation could be the gender difference in willingness and ability to negotiate salary.

To put it bluntly:

men are more likely than women to negotiate their salaries.

According to the study “Graduating to a Pay Gap”, this difference may reflect women’s awareness that employers are likely to view negotiations by men more favorably than negotiations by women. But that doesn’t mean that women can’t be successful NEGOTIAT[HER]’s !

Far too many gifted tech women fear negotiation and don’t know how to breakthrough that fear by grounding themselves in data, as I teach in The Negotiat[HER] Course.
